BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Nationally-ranked Northampton CC made quick work of Lackawanna College women's volleyball on Thursday evening, knocking off the Falcons in straight sets, 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-16), in Bethlehem in a Region XIX Division II/III crossover.
 
The Falcons (9-9) dropped their 19^th straight match to their rival from the Lehigh Valley, a skid dating back to 2010, and fell to the DIII #14 Spartans (11-0) for the second time this year. The loss snaps a two-match win streak for Lackawanna.
 
The Falcons still control their path to a #1 seed in the Region XIX DII playoffs, and can take one step towards guaranteeing that possibility with a win in their next match, Saturday October 14^th, when Lackawanna hits the road to take on Delaware Tech CC in Newark, DE for a 10:00am ET match. The Falcons won the last meeting, 3-1, last month in the Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium.
