SCRANTON, Pa. -- Lackawanna College played a pair of matches at home in a tri-match with Harcum College and County College of Morris on Tuesday afternoon inside the Lackawanna Student Union gymnasium.
 
Lackawanna played Harcum in the first match, and, after an initial setback in set one, fought hard to get even with a second set victory, only to see the Bears ramp it up and run away with a 3-1 victory (25-17, 19-25, 25-13, 25-19) in the first match of the afternoon.
 
Hunter Heeman (New Milford, PA) led the way with eleven kills, while Makayla Jones (Weatherford, TX) and Diora Franklin (Wilkes-Barre, PA) each added six kills, apiece. Delaney Hollenbeck (Kingsley, PA) led the Falcons with 21 assists and three service aces, while Melanie Pinillos (Miami, FL) led Lackawanna with 20 digs.
 
In match two of the night, Harcum played County College of Morris. The Titans and Bears played tight match, with Harcum College winning 3-2 (26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-7).


 
The third match had the Falcons taking on County College of Morris for the nightcap. So, naturally, it went five sets. The Falcons won the second and fourth sets to take it to a fifth, and a back-and-forth final set ensued, with both teams trading opportunities to end the proceedings. Unfortunately for the Falcons, it was Morris that finally closed things out with a 19-17 final set, winning 3-2 and denying the Falcons a chance at the win.
 
Lackawanna College (2-12) has one more regular season match on the schedule, with nationally ranked Harrisburg Area CC coming to the Lackawanna Student Union. The Falcons and the Hawks will get underway on Saturday, October 15^th, at 12:00pm ET.
