Scranton, PA - During the first round on Nepal, the Falcons took an early lead thanks to a last second shatter by AJ "gummypwns" Smith that helped the team hold the capture point and foil Gogebic's final push to take the first map of round 1. The second map was a similar story, where the Falcons took the point early and held it straight through to grab round 1, with a last second ult by Chris "Bebbly" Rojas this time to prevent Gogebic's final push from taking hold. In map 2 on Eichenwalde, the Falcons chose to defend first. Gogebic was able to take control of the payload, but the Falcons were able to hold the Samsons at the first choke setting up a short push for their own attack. On attack, the Falcons were able to match Gogebic's pushed distance with plenty of time to spare, giving them a round 2 win as well. Hanamura was the location for the third round and final round of tonight's best of 5 series. The Falcons chose to attack first and captured the first point with ease. The second point proved to be a bit more of a challenge, however, as Gogebic dug in. But with a concerted push with 2:30 left on the clock the Falcons captured the second point and took the field to defend from Gogebic's attack. The Falcons set up a bunker at the first choke and were able to hold the Samsons from capturing the first point, winning them the third round and the match.
