Scranton, PA - The Lackawanna College Overwatch Spring season came to an end after losing to the Finger Lakes Community College in tonight's NJCAAE Spring playoff match. After dropping the first map to FLCC, Lackawanna began to find their rhythm on both sides of the point with combined efforts from the entire squad. The second map would unfortunately be the only series win for the Falcons, but they certainly put on a show. Strategic defensive placement and aggressive offensive attacks were key to the Lackawanna College success in round 2. The Falcons had gained some momentum on FLCC, but they were not going to go down easy. The third map was an all-out slaughter coming from FLCC as the Falcons were barely able to touch the point before the end of the round. FLCC put on a defensive clinic and thwarted every attempt to capture the point from the Falcons' offense. The fourth and final map was a battle on both sides, but the Falcons could not slow the push while they were on the defensive side, allowing FLCC to achieve victory in tonight's best of 5 series.
The Lackawanna College Overwatch team finishes their NJCAAE Spring season with a record of 6-2 and will be back in action during the Fall 2021 NACE and NJCAAE seasons. Be sure to tune into our Facebook and Twitter for our upcoming Lackawanna College Esports events!
