Dotson, NC - It was an excellent weekend for the Lackawanna College baseball team as they claimed a three-game sweep over Surry Community College. After beating Surry Community College twice on Saturday, they took Sunday's game by a 14-4 tally, scoring seven of those runs in the top of the second inning. The highlight of the second inning rally was Ray Voorhees's two-run double that drove in Julian Thompson and David Curreri.

Lackawanna relied on the long ball in the third inning to add two more runs to a 7-1 lead. As Jake Kelcher and German Vasques both slammed solo home runs.

With the score 9-2 in the fifth, the Falcons added two more runs on a Voorhees sacrifice fly and a Surry error.

Finally, Lackawanna ended their scoring when Kelcher drove in two runs with a double, and Cody Fleicher scored Lucas Feliciano with a sacrifice fly.

Highlighting the Falcons' pitching was the six strikeout performance by Zach Klapak in three innings of work and the one hit, shutout effort by Justin Gohsler in two innings of relief.
