Scranton, PA - During the winter off-season, the Falcons played around with their lineup and came into tonight's match with everyone playing characters that we haven't seen them play before. Edwin "Axomaly" Acosta with Cyper, Nathan "Quakian" Ayers on Jett, Logan "BeddyLogo" Bednash on Brimstone, Michael "MaRs" Bochnovich using Pheonix and AJ "gummypwns" Smith with Sova. The Falcons started off on attack in this best of 1 series on Haven and came out of the gates with aggression taking the first 3 rounds with ease. There was absolutely no rust on this well-oiled machine of a team. Axomaly and gummypwns were utilizing Cypher and Sova's utilities perfectly in order to snuff out the opponent's locations. Everyone from the Falcons was contributing to the quick pushes onto site which would often catch Fort Scott off-guard and give Lackawanna full control early into the match. Once we were out of the pistol rounds, Fort Scott began to chip away at their deficit, but Lackawanna kept the pedal down and would not let them gain enough ground to get any advantage. At the 12th round side change, the Falcons had a 9-3 lead going into their defensive rounds. The "big 3", as we call them, Axomaly, Quakian and MaRs were going off on the leaderboard. BeddyLogo and gummypwns were pitching in as well with excellent use of utilities and ultimate placements. Fort Scott was able to win another round before the end of the match, but the Falcons' momentum was too much to handle, and Lackawanna College would go on to win in the 17th round with a score of 13-4.
Lackawanna College is now 1-0 in the NJCAAE Valorant spring season and will be back on-stream next week, Friday 2/19 at 7pm EST. Be sure to tune into our Facebook and Twitter for scheduling info on our next Valorant matchup!
