SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lackawanna College Women's Soccer team will head back out on the road this Saturday October 2
nd when the Falcons travel to take on the Hagerstown Community College Hawks in Hagerstown, MD at 12:00pm.

About The Falcons
Lackawanna College (0-4-0) enters the game after losing their previous match-up against nationally-ranked Sussex County CC, 10-0, this past Tuesday afternoon. It was the third nationally-ranked team that the Falcons faced in their first four games.

Ashley Bruno is the team-leader with a pair of goals so far this year, and midfielder/captain
Rachel Apsley has a goal as well.
Jada Tha continues to hold down the defense, while
Aliyah Shade has been seeing more time up top while Bruno drops to the midfield.

Sophia Andreoli is the keeper, and is coming off a game where she had 14 saves against Sussex. Sophia has 35 saves so far this season.

The Falcons are led by first-year head coach
Megan Tweedy, a Lakeland HS product and former Lackawanna College soccer player. Megan was a multi-sport athlete in her time at Lackawanna College, and has spent time coaching both AAU and HS soccer locally in NEPA.

About The Opponents
The Hawks (2-6-0) are coming off a 1-0 win over College of Southern Maryland this past Thursday afternoon. They share a common opponent with the Falcons, the nationally-ranked Howard Community College Dragons. The Hawks have played them twice, losing both games 2-0 and 4-0, respectively.

Madison Milburn is the leading scorer for the Hawks, with two goals so far this season. Hagerstown CC is relatively balanced, otherwise, with six different players who have scored at least a goal after Milburn. Megan Stauch leads the team with a pair of assists so far this year.

Hannah Hoffman is the main keeper for Hagerstown. She has 43 saves on 59 shots on goal so far this year. Delanie Dudley started a game for Hagerstown, as well, at keeper.

Clifton Williams is the head coach for the Hagerstown women, and is in his fifth season at the helm of the program. Williams, a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College (As it was known at the time) in 1985, was the first coach in the history of the program, when it started in 2017. Williams is a fixture in local soccer in western Maryland/northeastern West Virginia. He served as head coach for the Lord Fairfax CC Women's Club soccer program, and was an assistant coach with the Hagerstown men's team for two years before that. He has also served as the head coach for Martinsburg High School's boys varsity soccer team, and has spent time in both youth and AAU soccer circles.
