Scranton, PA - The Falcons win tonight's NJCAAE Overwatch match over Bryant & Stratton College, 3-2. It was a rough start for the Falcons as the Bobcats came out with some very aggressive plays. Lackawanna College could not seem to find any momentum in the first two maps while Bryant & Stratton was putting on a lot of pressure. The Bobcats went on to win the first two maps with little pushback from the Falcons. Lackawanna College would have to regroup and re-strategize in order to fight back for this series and that's exactly what they did. The Falcons came out swinging on the third map and were able to push the payload all the way to its destination with only a brief pause at the final point. The Bobcats tried to hold off the Falcons as long as they could, but Lackawanna College put together some beautiful ult combos in order to seal the deal and bring the series to 1-2. On the next map, each team would have a chance to capture two separate points in order to win the round. Lackawanna College was on offense first and they managed to capture both points in what seemed like record time. The Bobcats could not find a way to stop the Falcons on their offensive push. On defense, the Falcons gave up the first point but dug their feet in on the second point and managed to keep Bryant & Stratton from capping the point, bringing the series to 2-2. The fifth and final map was an all-out battle with team fight after team fight passing the point back and forth to each team. Lackawanna College finally found their rhythm after coming back from a 0-2 deficit and was able to keep that momentum throughout this final map. The Falcons went on to win the fifth map and ultimately the series by pulling off a beautiful reverse sweep on Bryant & Stratton College. Lackawanna College remains undefeated in the NJCAAE Overwatch fall season and will be back on-stream next Thursday for their next matchup.
