Scranton, PA - The Falcons win the first game of tonight's Overwatch double-header 3-0 over Gogebic Community College. Lackawanna College came into tonight's match with a different starting lineup than usual, but it didn't seem to faze them at all. Three of our players ended up flexing in different positions as well in order to make up for the line-change. Moose normally plays tank, but he found himself playing DPS tonight. Same for Chris "Bebbly" Rojas who pulled out some clutch Reaper plays to help the Falcons out on both sides of the point. Our go-to DPS player, Sebastian "dyre" Hutchins was leading the charge (literally) all night with his standup Reinhardt play. The Falcons faltered on offense on the second map and were unable to push the payload to the second checkpoint but once we switched sides to defense, we did not let Gogebic get the payload moving at all! The Falcons went into the third and final map with some confidence after that defensive showing and were able to cap both points with over four minutes remaining on the clock. This did not give Gogebic much time to work with in their run on offense. Moose and Bebbly pulled a cheeky opening play with Bastion and Reaper and were able to get some quick picks to hold off Gogebic's first push. Gogebic did not let up easily and eventually pushed through our defense to cap the first point. On point B, the Falcons dug their feet in and kept the pressure up on Gogebic. Paige "momjeans" O'Hara came up with a beautiful Play of the Game towards the end of the match in order to help Lackawanna College secure the sweep over Gogebic Community College. The Falcons' Overwatch squad moves to 3-0 in the NJCAAE regular season and will be back on stream tonight at 8 PM EST for their NACE Fall Cup matchup against Eastern University.
