Scranton, Pa - The Falcons lose tonight's NACE Overwatch Fall Cup matchup 3-0 versus Arcadia University.
Coming in after a roller coaster of a week last week, the Falcons showed up ready to play but the Knights from Arcadia were well-prepped on our offensive strategies. The first map was evenly matched as many team fights went back and forth. Arcadia's Reaper was able to steal the momentum after a beautiful 5k play to steal the point from Lackawanna. In the second round, the Falcons were able to push the payload past two checkpoints but could not deliver it to the final point. Kendall "Moose" Rhea was doing everything he could to disrupt Arcadia's backfield with his Hammond play, but the Knights adjusted well and stopped the payload just shy of the final point. When it came time for Arcadia to make their push, they were able to break through Lackawanna's defensive strats and deliver the payload to the finish line, taking the second map as well making the score 2-0. The third and final map was set to Kings Row where Lackawanna would begin their offensive push first but once again, they were unsuccessful in delivering the payload all the way to the final point. Nathan "Quakian" Ayers switched things up with a Doomfist on this push but even that change did not help the Falcons. Arcadia stopped the Falcons' push just shy of the final point. The Knights put together some excellent ultimate combos during their push that allowed them to roll over the Falcons defense and eventually delivered the payload to its final resting place of the night.
The Falcons ended the Match 0-3 against Arcadia University bringing their NACE Overwatch Fall Cup record to 2-5.
