Box Score Scranton, PA - Sunday afternoon, The Lackawanna College Women's Volleyball Team played their final regular season home match of the year, as they welcomed in Delaware Technical Community College. The Lady Falcons came into in the match with a 9-9 record, after winning their last 2 matches, and were looking to stay alive in the Region XIX tournament mix. Lackawanna came out strong as they shut down Del Tech 25-11 in the 1st set. The 2nd set would prove to be much tighter, with both teams trading scores. However, Lackawanna would out last the Spirit to take the set 25-20. In the 3rd, and what would turn out to be the final set, Lackawanna defeated Del Tech 25-15 giving them the 3-0 match victory.
Ethylne Lockhart and Jamie Brann both had strong performances for Lackawanna. Lockhart finished the match with 13 Kills and 23 Digs, while Brann added 9 Kills and 18 Digs. Faith Labad would lead the way with 5 Service Aces and Kasey Orlowski contributed with 17 Digs.
Lackawanna will hit the road next week for their final two matches of the regular season. They will face off Tuesday against Bergen Community College in New Jersey and then travel to Delaware Tech for a rematch of today's game.
