Box Score Scranton, PA – The Lackawanna College Men's Soccer team came into Saturday's game with Essex County College on a 2 game win streak. The Falcons were looking to continue their winning ways, however, Essex County would have other plans. The Wolverines jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal in the first 4 minutes of the game. Lackawanna would answer with a goal from Justice Ngafi at the 33-minute mark to tie the game at 1-1, and that would be the score going into halftime.
The 2nd half would see both teams attacking the goal and testing the keepers. Midway through the 2nd half the score remained 1-1, until Essex County connected on a goal in the 78th minute, to take a 2-1 lead. This is all the Wolverines would need as they would go on to defeat Lackawanna College 2-1.
With the loss, the Falcons fall to 6-4 overall and 1-2 in Region XIX play. Lackawanna will have a chance to bounce back when they return to action Thursday October 17th, where they will travel to Rowan College South Jersey – Gloucester for a 2:00pm matchup.
