Box Score Scranton, PA – The Lackawanna College Women's Volleyball team had a busy Saturday, competing in a Tri-Match with County College of Morris and Luzerne County Community College. In the first match, the Lady Falcons came out with a lot of energy and took the first set 25-19. The County College of Morris bounced back and took the 2nd set 25-12. However, Lackawanna College would come out in the 3rd set and push the Titans to extra points. The effort was strong, but not enough as CC of Morris won the 3rd set 30-28. In the 4th, and what would be the final set, the Lady Falcons once again pushed CC of Morris to the brink, but fell 26-24. The County College of Morris would win the match 4-1. The Lady Falcons were led by Jamie Brann with 42 digs and Ethylne Lockhart who had 25 Digs and 4 Blocks.
In Lackawanna's 2nd match of the day, and the 3rd of the Tri-Match, the Lady Falcons faced Luzerne County Community College. After the loss in their first match, Lackawanna College came out fast and would not look back. The Lady Falcons would waste no time defeating the Lady Stallions, 25-6, 25-8, 25-5, for a 3-0 match win. Once again Lackawanna College was led by Ethylne Lockhart who had 17 Kills and 13 Digs. Jamie Brann and Kasey Orlowski also had strong performances with a combined 35 Digs between the two.
Lackawanna College returns to action Tuesday, October 15th when they travel to Manor College for a 7:00pm start time.
