Dave Morgan

Dave Morgan was named Head Men’s Wrestling Coach at Lackawanna College in June 2026, leading the Falcons as the program transitions to NCAA Division II and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) competition. A Scranton native and accomplished wrestler, Morgan brings extensive collegiate, high school, and club coaching experience, along with a strong commitment to student-athlete development. 

Morgan was a two-time NCAA Division III National Champion at King’s College, compiling an outstanding 86-7 career record while capturing three conference championships. Following a successful scholastic career at West Scranton High School, where he was a Class AAA state runner-up, Morgan began his collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh before transferring to King’s and becoming one of the most decorated wrestlers in program history. 

His coaching career includes time as an assistant coach at King’s College, several years on the Scranton High School coaching staff, and nearly a decade building and coaching a successful wrestling club program in North Carolina. Morgan also served as an admissions counselor, providing him with valuable experience mentoring and supporting students both academically and personally.

As head coach, Morgan is focused on building a culture of accountability, hard work, and excellence while recruiting and developing student-athletes who will help establish Lackawanna Wrestling as a respected NCAA Division II program.
