SUFFERN, NY – Lackawanna College men's golf competed with a pair of golfers for the first time in seven years, as the Falcons took part in the Charge Challenge, hosted by Dominican University, at Spook Rock Golf Course.
 
Golfers Alec Hamilton (Clarks Summit, PA) and Jason Walsh (Spring Brook Twp., PA) were the two linksmen for the Falcons, and it was Hamilton that had a good showing, hitting a +3 in his second round on Monday and finishing tied for 20^th place with a +16 for the Challenge. Walsh finished 32^nd, with his best round, a +8, also coming in the second on the Par-72 course.
 
The individual winner was Zeus Sara, who played a -2 for the event, while teammate Domenick Caponi finished even-par for the Challenge and had an impressive 4-under in the third round. Those two helped power Adelphi to the team trophy, finishing with a +13 overall and winning over second-place Post by 19 strokes.
 
It marks the first event for coach Patrick Lloyd and the Falcons in seven years, after the program was dormant into the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
 
The Falcons will next participate in the Clark Luis Invitational, hosted by Penn State Hazleton, on Monday, September 28^th, at Valley Country Club in Sugarloaf. Tee-time is set for 11:00am ET.
