SCRANTON, Pa. -- Lackawanna College baseball picked up its seventh Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Player of the Week nomination this season, as first-year student-athlete Tyler Lepage (Macungie, PA) was named as the Baseball Player of the Week in the EPAC this past week, according to a release from the conference this past Monday morning.

Tyler was the sole EPAC recipient this week.






















Tyler was excellent this past weekend, going a combined 8-for-12 (.667 BA) with three doubles, three runs, and nine RBIs in three games in the East District tournament. Lepage had six RBIs in the championship contest against UConn Avery Point on Sunday, hitting three separate two-run singles. He had two doubles and three RBIs in the first-round win against Rockland on Friday, and he had two more hits and a double in the semifinal win against UCAP on Saturday afternoon. Lepage posted a 1.560 OPS for the weekend, slugging at .917 and getting on base at a .643 clip. Lepage, finally somewhat healthy, is hitting .462 on the season in 28 games, driving in 30 RBIs and posting a 1.278 OPS. Lepage has 36 hits, including eight doubles and five home runs.

Lepage is a first-year student-athlete at Lackawanna College and was named Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for his performance, as well. 

Baseball is set to begin its NJCAA Division II World Series appearance on Saturday, May 24th, with a first round match-up against #5 Madison College at 5:00pm ET at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, Oklahoma. Details can be found via the NJCAA championship website, linked HERE.
