SUFFERN, NY – SUNY Rockland exploded in the second half for 61 points, helping the Hawks rout Lackawanna College, 97-69, in non-region men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon inside the Eugene Levy Fieldhouse at Rockland CC.

The Falcons (7-5) fell behind early, but rallied back to within three points, down 36-33, at halftime. The Hawks (10-3) maintained their lead through the early parts of the second half, then started to run the Falcons off the floor under an avalanche of offense. Lackawanna College couldn't keep up the pace, trying to climb inside of 15 points several times in the final ten minutes, before succumbing.

Rockland shot 49.3% for the game, putting up 19 steals and placing four players in double-figures. Jerell Taylor led all scorers with 30 points and ten rebounds, while Isaiah Crawford scored 17 points off the bench.

Lackawanna had three players in double-figures, led by
Noah McIntosh (Philadelphia, PA) with eleven points.
Latrell Mark (Frederick, MD) and
Xavier Spears (Brooklyn, NY) each had ten points.

The Falcons have one more game remaining in the fall semester, as they are scheduled to host Esse County College in Region XIX DII play on Tuesday, December 16
th. Tip-off is set for 7:00pm ET inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium, and the game will be the second of a doubleheader, with the women's teams playing first at 5:00pm ET.
