EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Lackawanna College men's wrestling squad fell three times in duals action on Sunday morning at the Warrior Duals at East Stroudsburg University inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
 
The Falcons (2-4) were most competitive against their future Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foe, East Stroudsburg (5-0), falling in a narrow 30-23 dual. Lackawanna led 20-12 after the first six bouts, earning wins via fall from both Sam Vissers (Laurel, MD) at 133 and Matt Gashi-Brito (Fairfax, VA) at 149. Luke Evans (Clarks Summit, PA) earned a major decision win at 157, while Richard Leslie (Peckville, PA) won a major decision of his own at 165.
 
However, the Warriors responded, earning falls in the next three bouts at 174, 184, and 197, catapulting ahead at 30-20 heading into the final bout. Brodie Daugherty (Manheim, PA) earned his first of three wins on the day with a narrow 11-7 victory by decision to wrap up the scoring at 30-23.
 
The bout with Felician (2-1) started well for the Falcons, thanks to a tech fall win by Spencer Crawley (Bloomfield, NJ) at 125, but Felician rattled off four positive results after that, including a forfeit and two pins, racing to a 22-5 advantage after five bouts.
 
Leslie won via major decision to get the Falcons to nine, but two straight falls made it 34-9, Felician, with two bouts to go. Zion Adams (Catonsville, MD) picked up a medical forfeit win, and Daugherty won via fall at 1:04 of his heavyweight bout to get the Falcons to a 34-21 finish.
 
Marymount (4-6) was dominant, earning positive results in eight of the ten bouts, including a forfeit win at 141 and six different victories by fall. The only good news for the Falcons against Marymount was a win for Evans at 157 via tech fall (17-1), while Daugherty completed his unbeaten run with a fall at 1:58 to wrap up the 47-11 defeat.
 
The Falcons are off through the Thanksgiving holiday break and up to the following weekend, where they are set to travel to SUNY Niagara for the Thunderwolves Open. The wrestling is set to get going at 9:30am ET inside the Den on campus at SUNY Niagara in Sanborn, NY.
