WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Lackawanna wrestling competed in a handful of exhibition matches this Saturday afternoon at the Wilkes University quad match with Wilkes, Elmira College, New Jersey City University, and Keystone College.
 
At 149 lbs., Matt Gashi-Brito went 2-0, winning a pair of matches by fall against wrestlers from Wilkes and Elmira.
 
At 157 lbs., John Almonte went 0-2, dropping a match by fall at the 1:02 mark against an opponent from Wilkes, then dropping another to an opponent from Elmira with a fall at 1:13.
 
Finally, at 197 lbs. and 285 lbs., Adan Salazar went 1-1 on the day. Salazar won his first match with a fall midway through the third period at 5:54 to beat his opponent from Wilkes, then fell with a fall at 2:31 of the first period against his opponent from Elmira.
 
Lackawanna will compete next weekend in exhibition matches as part of the Electric City Duals at the University of Scranton.
