SCRANTON, Pa. -- Lackawanna College Esports got another win in Rocket League competition, as the Falcons won going away, 3-0 (6-3, 9-0, 4-0) against Trinity Valley Community College on Friday night in NJCAAE competition.Â
The Falcons (2-1, 1-0 NJCAAE) were impressive throughout, getting major contributions from all three players.
Matthew Kelly (Gamertag: JKfoshizzle) had a team-high nine goals and six assists across the three games, while
Guadalupe Oca (Gamertag: AyeOca) had eight goals and six assists, including five scores in the second game alone, and Jakob Seamans (Gamertag: Jakob) had two goals and five assists.Â
Game one was a little tighter than the rest of the match would go, as the Falcons managed to post six goals, but gave up three on eight shots. Lackawanna peppered Trinity with 15 shots, and Kelly led the way with three goals. Oca added two and led the team with three assists, while Seamans added a goal and two assists.Â
Game two saw the Falcons offense really get put on display, as Lackawanna blanked Trinity 9-0. Oca had five goals and two assists, while Kelly added four goals and three assists, and Seamans provided a pair of helpers to the Falcons cause.Â
In game three, Lackawanna once again shut out the Cardinals, limiting them to just five shots over the five minute period, while getting a pair of goals scored from Kelly, who also provided two assists, while Seamans and Oca each added a pair of goals in the effort.Â
Lackawanna will be back on stream for Rocket League on Monday, September 25th, when the Falcons take on the Zips from the University of Akron in NACE play. That match starts at 7:00pm ET.Â
