SCRANTON, Pa. – After a series sweep earlier this week, Lackawanna College is looking to carry that momentum into a pair of crucial weekend doubleheaders in New York and Connecticut.

About The Falcons
Lackawanna College (15-11) is on a three-game winning streak, and has won seven of its last nine. In its last series, the Falcons won three straight against Lehigh Carbon CC, picking up a home 22-1 win in seven innings on Tuesday, and sweeping a doubleheader against the Cougars on the road, 17-5 and 7-5, on Wednesday afternoon. In Wednesday's doubleheader, the Falcons drew 13 walks in game one, posting 12 hits and then handing the keys over to their bullpen, which made it stand up for the game one win at 17-5. In game two, Lackawanna College trailed 3-0 after 2.5 and was down 3-2 heading into the top of the fifth. That changed on a Christian Rush (Perkasie, PA) solo homer that tied the game, and the Falcons took the lead for good later that inning on a Cole Casamento (Limerick, PA) two-run double. Nathan Russell got the game two win with four innings of relief to secure the 7-5 victory. Read the full doubleheader recap HERE.
