Myrtle Beach, SC - The Lackawanna College Softball Team continued their spring break trip with another doubleheader in Myrtle Beach.  The past few days have been kind to the Lady Falcons and they were hoping to extend their winning streak.  They knew it would be tough, as they had rematches with both John Wood CC and Mohawk Valley CC.  

In the first game of the day, the Lady Falcons jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, when Gianna Telesco hit a triple that scored Courtney Hoffman.  However, John Wood stole home, to tie the game at 1-1.  They would score again, in the 2nd inning, to take a 2-1 lead over the Lady Falcons.  Unfortunately, Lackawanna could not get anything going and would fall to John Wood CC, by a final score of 3-1. 

In game 2, the Lady Falcons fell behind early, when Mohawk Valley took a 1-0, in the 1st inning.  While they had opportunities, Lackawanna could not take advantage of them.  Mohawk Valley scored another run, but then Courtney Hoffman tripled down the line and then would end up scoring on a passed ball.  The score stayed at 3-1, as Mohawk Valley finished out the game with their 2nd win over the Lady Falcons, this week.  

This was the first day Lackawanna was swept in both games.  However, they have another chance to get back in the win column tomorrow as they face Henry Ford College and Elgin Community College.  On the day, the Lady Falcons had 8 hits and left a total of 27 runners on base.    They will look to get the bats alive again and will defiantly look for another strong pitching performance.
