SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lackawanna College Athletics Department is pleased to announce that 110 Lackawanna College student-athletes have earned either Dean's or President's List distinction from the past Fall 2023 semester.

To qualify for Dean's List distinction, a student must maintain at least a 3.2 GPA, with a minimum of nine credit hours. For the President's List, students must hold a 3.5 GPA or better, with a minimum of 24 credit hours, which includes 12 credits during the most recent semester. All-in-all, Lackawanna College had 79 student-athletes make Dean's List, and 31 student-athletes qualify as President's List candidates.

Lackawanna College Football had the most overall student-athletes selected to both Dean's List (25) and President's List (7), with 32 overall student-athletes qualifying. Baseball was second in total numbers, with 16 student-athletes qualifying for Dean's List, and six student-athletes making President's List.

Esports was third overall, with 12 student-athletes making either the Dean's (8) or President's (4) Lists, and Softball was the fourth sport with double-digits, with seven making Dean's List and four student-athletes earning President's List.

Percentage-wise, softball led the way, with 64.7% of the team making either list. Women's soccer was second, with 57.1% of their student-athletes qualifying for either list, and baseball was third, putting up 56.4% of its roster on either list.

Softball had the highest team GPA this semester, with a 3.57 overall team GPA. Baseball was second, putting up a 3.32 GPA, and women's volleyball was third, with a 3.14 team GPA.

Overall, it was a very good semester, academically, for Lackawanna College Athletics, with each sport represented somewhere on either the Dean's or President's Lists, and each sport maintaining a team GPA at 2.5 or higher.
