SCRANTON, Pa. -- Congratulations to sophomore football student-athlete Terrez Worthy (Salisbury, MD), the first Lackawanna College Athlete of the Week for the 2023-2024 scholastic year!

Terrez, an honorable mention All-American selection last season by the NJCAA, picked up right where he left off as the Falcons kicked off the 2023 season this past weekend against Jireh Prep. Worthy started the game with a sizzling 61-yard touchdown run on the third play of the game, and finished with over 130 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the day to help pace the Falcons to a 47-16 victory to open the season. Worthy averaged 7.3 yards per carry on the day, and helped spearhead a Falcons rushing attack that finished with 233 yards rushing as a team. 

Terrez is a sophomore student studying Business Management at Lackawanna College. He will be a guest on a future episode of Falcons Corner, which airs every week on the Lackawanna College Athletics YouTube.
