(SCRANTON, PA) – Tuesday night was the Lackawanna Falcons Volleyball DIG PINK game. Montgomery County CC defeated the Falcons 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-14) Lackawanna's 5 game winning streak was snapped, dropping their record to 8-8.
The first set was a competitive one for the Falcons, as they spread out their scoring. Amaya Townsend, Keryne Brostoski, Jordan Skoff, and Brenda Reninga recorded 7 kills together. Montgomery held on to win the first set 25-21. The second set would be another close one for Lackawanna. Jordan Skoff scored 7 kills while Brenda Reninga provided her teammates 6 assists. Late in the set, the score was tied 20-20, Montgomery would string 5 points together quickly to take the 2nd set 25-20. The 3rd set got away from the Falcons, Montgomery was able to pull out to an early lead 15-8. The Mustangs didn't pump the breaks; they took the 3rd set 25-14. Montgomery defeated Lackawanna 3-0.

The next match for the Falcons will be a Home Tri-match on Sunday October 7th at 12pm. Game 1 will feature a match with Del Tech; Game 2 will be against Community College of Philadelphia.
