Lackawanna Falls to Hagerstown in Season Opener

Scranton, PA: Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Women's Soccer team dropped their season opener to Hagerstown Community College by a 4-3 score. The Falcons led early scoring two goals in the first half while holding the Hawks scoreless. Unfortunately for Lackawanna, Hagerstown outscored the Falcons 4-1 in the second half, to claim the victory.

The Falcons scored on break away goals by Alexa Smith with 9:52 left in the first half and 32:40 left in the second period. Freshman, Britney Stoute, also contribute a break away goal with 1:25 left in the opening stanza. Lackawanna's keeper, Sophia Andreoli was credited with eight saves.

Lackawanna takes the pitch again tomorrow, when they host CCBC Catonsville at Scranton Prep's Loyola Field. Kick off is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
