Lackawanna Claims 4-1 Victory in Opener

Scranton, PA: Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Men's Soccer team kicked off their 2019 season with a 4-1 win over Hagerstown Community College. At the end of the opening period, both Lackawanna and the Hawks were tied with one goal each. However in the second half, Lackawanna's Marcelus Bonney caught fire and scored three goals to lead the Falcons to their victory.

Bonney first scored on a break away with 44:25 left in the half. He then scored another goal on an assist by Logan Sullivan with 43:15 left and again on an assist by Zion Emmanuel with 26:24 on the clock. Lackawanna's remaining goal was scored with 7:30 left in the first period by Obiazi Chinatu, assisted by Orlin Munguia.

Lackawanna takes the pitch again tomorrow, when they host CCBC Catonsville at Scranton Prep's Loyola Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
