Catonsville, MD – Friday afternoon, The Lackawanna College Men's Soccer team traveled to Catonsville, Maryland to play CCBC-Catonsville in its opening game of the 2018 season. Despite a stout defense that held Catonsville to a solidary goal in the first half, the Falcons fell by a 2-0 score. The Cardinals added their second score with 14 minutes left in the contest.
Lackawanna's Matt Tisdale was credited with 10 saves in the loss.
Making his debut as Lackawanna's head coach, Rudy Roediger said "This was obviously not the result or overall performance that we were looking for. However, there were good things that we could build on and we will be back to work tomorrow as we prepare for Wednesday's match against Morris."
Lackawanna plays again on Wednesday, August 29, when they host County College of Morris in their home opener. Wednesday's game will be played at Scranton Prep's Loyola Athletic Complex and will start at 4:00 PM.
