Stone Ridge, NY – After trailing 44-40 at half time, the Lackawanna College Men's Basketball team used a 26-point second half scoring effort by Tarek Williams to beat Ulster County Community College 102-83. Overall, Williams had a game high 32 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 7 steals.
The win gave Lackawanna a bit of revenge for the loss the Falcons suffered to Ulster in the semi-finals of last year's NJCAA Region XIX DII Tournament.
Other Falcons making significant contributions in tonight's victory were J'von Winslow with 16 points, 2 assists and 4 steals; Ayo Shokeye with 12 points and 9 rebounds; and, Isiah Wiggins with 11 points.
In his two contests this week, Williams has accumulated 59 points.
With the victory, Lackawanna now has an overall win/loss record of 3-1. The Falcons will retake the floor on Tuesday when they travel to Newark, New Jersey to take on the Wolverines of Essex County College in a Region XIX DII contest.
