Falcons Knock Off #2 Northampton CC 15-7

(Bethlehem, PA) – Lackawanna baseball played the #2 team in NJCAA DIII, Northampton CC on Thursday. The Falcons won in convincing fashion as they took the game 15-7. Lackawanna's record stands at 26-13 (7-3).

Lackawanna started out the 1st inning with a single by DJ Barry-Staszak. He found his way around the base paths and scored on a Zac Granger double. Lackawanna gave back a run in the bottom of the 2nd but earned their second run of the game in the 3rd. Zac Granger recorded his 2nd RBI of the night as he hit a deep sac-fly to center. The Falcons broke the game wide open in the 4th inning, scoring 7 runs. Notably, Thylar Summarell hit a 2-run homer to center, Jerry Reinhart hit a 3-run homer to left field just 3 batters later, and DJ Barry-Staszak hit a single worth 2 RBIs. Lackawanna added 6 more runs in the 7th and 8th inning. Anthony Socci, Jerry Reinhart, Ian Diaz hit RBI singles. The Falcons defeated #2 Northampton CC 15-7. The winning pitcher was Jordan Art. He pitched 1.2 innings, giving up 2 hits and no earned runs.
