(Scranton, PA) – Lackawanna Baseball played a home double-header against Delaware Technical CC on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons walked away with 2 victories as they defeated Del Tech 15-4 and 21-5. Lackawanna's record was boosted to 17-13.
Del Tech started the game off with 2 runs in the top of the 1st but Lackawanna answered back with a mountain of offense in the bottom of the 2nd. Jerry Reinhart, Owen Kiess, and Ian Diaz all scored RBI's to help Lackawanna gain a 4-2 advantage. The next inning saw Jerry Reinhart blast a 2-run homer. Lackawanna continued their offensive assault in the bottom of the 5th by scoring 6 runs. Thylar Summarell, Colin Weinert, and David Williams hit back to back to back homeruns. The Falcons won 15-4. The winning pitcher was Nathan McLain. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 earned runs.

The Falcons scored 8 runs in the bottom of the 2nd and 9 runs in the 4th inning of game two. Zac Granger hit 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI's. David Williams also hit a home run and had 2 doubles for 5 RBI's. DJ Barry-Staszak hit a 3 RBI triple and a solo home run. Falcons won 21-5. The winning pitcher was Grant Powell. He pitched 4 innings, giving up 3 earned runs and striking out 6 batters.
The Falcons hit 10 homeruns between both games of the double-header.
