(Scranton, PA) – Lackawanna Baseball played a double-header on the road Saturday afternoon against Harford CC. The Falcons lost game one 5-4, and dropped game two 14-6. The Falcons record now rests at 1-2.
Game 1 saw its first run in the bottom of the 3rd. Harford CC's Shilling doubled to right field, driving in Wyandt. The Falcons responded in the top of the 4th as Ryan Cole would hit a solo homerun. A few batters later David Williams singled to left field, giving the Falcons a 2-1 lead. The game was tied 3-3 headed into the top of the 6th. Lackawanna's David Williams would come through again, this time smashing a homer to right field. Harford would come back to score a run in the 6th and a walk-off double in the 7th. Harford CC defeated Lackawanna 5-4.

Game 2 saw a lot more scoring early. Lackawanna scored 3 in the top of the 1st on a double and a Harford fielding error. Harford immediately responded by recording 2 runs in the bottom of the first, and adding 8 more through the 4th inning. Thylar Summarell would homer to right field in the top of the 5th to bring the score back to 11-6. Harford would go on to add 3 runs to finish the game. Harford CC won 14-6.

The Falcons will begin play at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Monday March 4th at 10am. Lackawanna will be taking on Olney Central College and then they will play Penn State Alleghany at 3:30pm.
