Lackawanna Volleyball Survives Day 1 of NJCAA District L Tourney

(Scranton, PA) – Saturday afternoon, Lackawanna College hosted the NJCAA District L Round Robin matches. Lackawanna College went 1-1 on the day and made it to the Semi-Final round to be played tomorrow. Excellent performances were put in by Jordan Skoff, Amaya Townsend, and Brenda Reninga to help the Falcons make it to Day 2 of the tournament.

This year's NJCAA District L Tournament has been split into two days. Day 1 was a round robin, Pool A consisted of Harcum College, Lackawanna College, and SUNY Ulster. Pool B's participants were Delaware Tech, Mercyhurst NE, and Community College of Rhode Island. Day 2 will be single elimination matches featuring the top two teams in each pool.

Pool A (Played at the Student Union)

Harcum College defeated SUNY Ulster 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-17)

Harcum College defeated Lackawanna College 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-23)

Mercyhurst defeated Delaware Tech 3-1 (28-26, 25-15, 22-25, 25-15)

Mercyhurst defeated Community College of Rhode Island 3-1 (25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 25-20)

Semi-Final and Championship Matchups on 11/4/18 at the Student Union

11am - Lackawanna College (Pool A runner-up) vs Mercyhurst (Pool B winner)

1pm – Del Tech (Pool B runner-up) vs Harcum College (Pool A winner)

3pm – Championship – TBD
