Lackawanna Volleyball Claims First Win of 2018 Campaign

Philadelphia, PA – Tuesday evening, the Lackawanna College Volleyball team claimed it first victory of the 2018 season with a 3-0 win over Community College of Philadelphia. The Falcons took the three sets by scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25 -7.

Lackawanna's elated head coach, Bob Fitzsimmons said, "The ladies deserve this win, they have improved in each of our three previous matches that we have played this season." Fitzsimmons added, "I feel that this victory will go a long way in giving the team the confidence we need to successfully compete in our remaining games."

The Lady Falcons' top performers were Jordan Skoff with 7 kills, 3 assists, and 11 aces, Keryne Brostoski had 5 kills.  Two players who also significantly contributing to the team's win were Brenda Reninga with 2 kills and 5 assists,  Amaya Townsend with 2 kills, 6 assists, and 8 service aces.

Lackawanna hopes to continue their winning efforts on Thursday, when they host Bucks County Community College at the Lackawanna College Student Union. Thursday's match is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start.
