Nanticoke, PA - Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College volleyball team split its games in an EPAC tri-match hosted by Luzerne County Community College. In the opener, the Lady Falcons beat Community College of Philadelphia 3 sets to 1. The Falcons outscored CCP in the first two sets 25-12 and 25-18. CCP took the third set 25-20, before Lackawanna clinched the final 25-22. In the second match against the tri-match host, LCCC, Lackawanna fell to the Trailblazers 3 set to 1. The Lady Falcons won the opening set 25-18, before losing the next three consecutive sets 25-19, 25-13 and 27-25.
In the opener, Ciara Candelaria was Lackawanna's top performer recording 16 Kills, an assist, 29 digs, 16 service points and 6 aces. Also having notable performances were Brianna Isen and Abigail Rodriquez. Izen had 4 Kills, 8 assists, 2 blocks, 7 digs, 8 service points and 3 aces; while Rodriquez was credited with 7 assists, 4 digs, 12 service points and 2 aces.
In the second game, the trio of Candelaria, Izen and Rodriquez were the Falcons' top performers. Candelaria was credited with 19 kills, an assists, 63 digs, 5 service points and 5 aces; Izen recorded 7 kills, 8 assists2 blocks, 7 digs, 6 service points and 3 aces. While Rodriquez had 2 kills, 11 assists, 3 digs, 7 service points and an aces.
