Mecca makes NCAA Debut

Scranton, PA: Former Lackawanna College tennis player, Brittney Mecca, became the first player from Lackawanna's program to play at the NCAA level. Mecca, who transferred to Penn State University's Berks Campus at mid-term, debuted in a match against Piedmont College during the Lions spring trip to Orlando, Florida.

The highlight of the trip for Mecca came in their March 7th match against Regis College, when she won the team's only singles match in an 8-1 loss.

PSU-Berks is a member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference and will start their conference play with a home match against Wells College. The NEAC will host their 2017 postseason tournament at Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania from April 28th through April 30th.
