Scranton, PA - Lackawanna College has announced that Tory Pomeroy will serve as the Lackawanna College women's soccer head coach for the 2016 season. The Dover, Ohio native brings with her a wealth of soccer experience, most recently as the head coach for the Madison College women's program.
At Madison, Pomeroy guided a program that was started in 2014. At the helm since that program was initiated, she recorded a 13-14-3 win/loss/tie record.
Prior to her stint at Madison, Pomeroy has coached at two high school girls' soccer programs, Madison LaFollette and Oregon High School; and two soccer clubs, Magic Soccer Club and Waunakee Area Soccer Club in the Madison, Wisconsin area. In addition to the soccer clubs and high schools, Pomeroy has also coached at the Wisconsin Soccer Academy and for the Futsal Winter training program. She is also certified as a USSF and WIAA soccer official.
As well as other qualifications, Pomeroy holds a National Youth License, a Level I and II Goalkeeper Training License, a National D License, and numerous continuing education credits from the United States Soccer Federation.
Pomeroy will take over for Dan Berg, who stepped down as the Lady Falcon's head coach at the conclusion of the 2015 season. Berg served in that position since 2006, the year women's soccer was added to Lackawanna's sports offerings.
