  • Lackawanna Student-Athletes Recognized Nationally for Academic Proficiency

    Nineteen members of the Lackawanna College athletic teams were recently acknowledged nationally for their achievements in the classroom. The nineteen were named by the National Junior College Athletic Association to its All-Academic Team.

    Council Bluffs, IA: Lackawanna College’s Wrestling team had their season come to an end on the opening day of the 2018 National Junior College Athletic Association National Wrestling Tournament sponsored by Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

    Lackawanna College Wrestling – NJCAA National Championships Scranton, PA – First year Head Coach John Fox and five Lackawanna College wrestlers are on there way to Council Bluffs, Iowa to participate in the NJCAA Wrestling National Championships being held this weekend at Iowa Western Community College.
  • Five Lackawanna Wrestlers Qualify for NJCAA Nationals

    Lancaster, PA – Saturday, nine members of Lackawanna College’s inaugural wrestling team participated in the 2018 Eastern II District hosted by Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Five of those nine are now headed to Council Bluffs Iowa to participate in the 2018 National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship sponsored by Iowa Western Community College.

    Wilkes Barre, PA – Sunday afternoon the Lackawanna College Wrestling team claimed a one of the three rounds in which they participated in the John Reese Duals sponsored by Wilkes University.
  • Falcons win twice in Historic Match
    January 21, 2018
    Scranton, PA – Since its construction in 1949, there has never been a collegiate wrestling match held at the Lackawanna College Student Union, formerly formerly known as the Catholic Youth Center. That is no longer the case, as the Lackawanna College Wrestling team hosted both Middlesex County Community College and SUNY – Sullivan on Sunday in the programs' first-ever home wrestling event. Happily for the Lackawanna, the Falcons won both of their matches.
  • Lackawanna College Wrestling to Host First Home Meet on Jan. 21

    SCRANTON, Pa. – The inaugural Lackawanna College wrestling team, under the direction of John Fox, will host the Middlesex County College Blue Colts and the SUNY Sullivan Generals in the program’s first-ever home dual meet on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. The historic match will take place at the Lackawanna College Student Union Building.
  • Lackawanna Wrestlers split at Wilkes

    Wilkes-Barre, PA - Thursday night, the Lackawanna College wrestling team participated in a tri-match at Wilkes University. In their first match of the night, the Falcons gained a win, beating Pennsylvania College of Technology by a score of 32-24.
  • Falcons split Dual Match at West Point

    West Point, NY - Wednesday night, the Lackawanna College wrestling team participated in a duals match at West Point Prep. In their first match of the night, the Falcons gained a win by beating SUNY Ulster by a score of 44-0.
  • Lackawanna falls to Camden in Duals
    December 09, 2017
    Blackwood, NJ - Saturday afternoon the Lackawanna College wrestling team fell to Camden County College in a dual match hosted by Camden at their Blackwood, New Jersey campus. The Falcons fell by a score of 37-15.
  • Wrestling Results for Bob Quade Cyclone Open

    Sunday, the Lackawanna College wrestlers participated in the Centenary College sponsored Bob Quade Cyclone Open. The open was not a team event hence all results are for individual wrestlers.
  • Falcons win first ever Wrestling Match

    Thursday night, the Lackawanna College wrestling team won its first dual match in the program’s short history. The Falcons gained that achievement by beating SUNY Sullivan by a score of 35-11.
  • Falcons shutout in Scotty Wood Duals

    Bethlehem, PA: This past weekend, the Lackawanna College wrestling team was shutout in the Scotty Wood Duals, an event sponsored by Moravian College, failing to gain a team victory in that event. However, certain Falcon wrestlers did excel in their individual matches.

    Lackawanna College Wrestling Head John Fox had the opportunity to sit down for an interview on the John Mendola Show. It gave Coach Fox the opportunity to talk about the inaugural wrestling season at Lackawanna College.
  • Lackawanna Wrestlers debut in first Dual Match in School History

    Scranton, PA: Saturday, the Lackawanna College wrestling team finished the day without a team victory in the Electric City Duals, the first dual match in school history. However, the Falcons ‘first year program did have individual wrestlers who excelled in the various team contests.
  • Lackawanna Wrestlers take the Mat for the First Time in School History

    Brockport, NY: This weekend, for the first time in Lackawanna College history, a Lackawanna athlete represented the school in an intercollegiate wrestling match. The event was the Brockport Open at SUNY Brockport in Brockport, New York.
