Lackawanna College hires JJ Sonday as Women's Bowling Head Coach

Lackawanna College announced that it has hired James J Sonday as Head Coach of its women's bowling team. Sonday has been serving as the team's interim head coach since November of 2016 when he replaced Alice Kuhn, who resigned.

A resident of Exeter, Pennsylvania, Sonday is a member of the Professional Bowling Association, originally joining that organization in in 2003. He bowled in his first professional tournament in 2001 at the age of 16; and was runner-up in the 2010 AMF PBA Parkway Lanes Open. In 2014, the team on which he was a member won two Pennsylvania State Bowling Association titles; the 2014 PSBA Scratch Team Champions and PSBA Handicap Team Champions.

JJ is also a Regional Pro Staff Member of 900 Global; and Pro Staff Member of both Strike It Rich Pro Shop and Turbo.
