The Lackawanna College Athletic Department is pleased to announce its hiring of Alice Kuhn. Kuhn will pioneer the women's bowling program in its inaugural 2016-2017 season.
In discussing her appointment, Kuhn said "I think it is tremendous that Lackawanna College is starting a women's bowling program. Being an alum of the college I know from experience the great things Lackawanna has to offer. I had a great experience here as a student which will help me in the recruiting process of assembling our women's bowling team. I look forward to getting this program off the ground."
From 1993 to 2001, Kuhn held the Tri-County Youth Leaders high average for females. In 2000-2001, she was a Pennsylvania Youth Bowling Association District 8 champion and had her name placed in the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame in Arlington, TX for her accomplishments. She also won eight Keystone State Games medals (5 gold, 2 silvers, 1 bronze). In her career she has bowled thirteen 300 games and has had two 800 series. In 2013 Kuhn was inducted into the Northeast Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
Kuhn had a short bowling stint at the University of Nebraska before returning back to Northeast PA and obtaining her Associates Degree from Lackawanna College. After Lackawanna College Kuhn was accepted to Keystone College where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.
