(Pemberton, NJ) – The Lady Falcons of Lackawanna College played their final regular season game of the 2018-19 season on Tuesday night. They were victorious over Rowan College at Burlington County by a score of 83-53. The Lady Falcons finish their season with a record of 23-5 (14-3). Their next step will be the Region XIX Conference Tournament on March 2nd and 3rd. Additionally Lackawanna will be the host of this year's tournament.
Lackawanna has spread the ball around and utilized the bench all season, tonight was no exception. The Lady Falcons jumped out to an 18-10 lead at the end of the first quarter which saw 7 different players put points on the scoreboard. Lackawanna continued to outscore their opponents into the 2nd quarter as they put up 20. Ciaira Loyd was responsible for 7 of the 2nd quarter points. Lackawanna led RCBC into halftime 38-19.
The second half saw 11 Lackawanna players score, and the defense helped out with 17 steals to finish the game. The Lady Falcons led 64-37 at the end of the 3rd quarter and never looked back to finish off the game 83-53. This win marks the 14th Region XIX Conference win of the season for Lackawanna College.
