(Bryn Mawr, PA) – Harcum College defeated Lackawanna College Saturday afternoon 96-71. The loss is only Lackawanna's 4th of the season, their record drops to 17-4 (9-3). This loss snapped a 16 game win streak for the Lady Falcons.
The first quarter saw Lackawanna score well from three-point land. Ciaira Loyd, Kyla Smith, Keyanah Price, and Briaunna McCullough all hit shots from outside the arc. Lackawanna led Harcum 23-20 at the end of the first quarter. Unfortunately for the Lady Falcons, scoring did not come easily for them in the second quarter. Harcum responded with several threes of their own and held Lackawanna to just 11 points offensively. Harcum took the lead into halftime, 47-34.
Harcum's offense did not slow down in the second half, they managed to put up 28 points in the 3rd quarter alone. Shaylah Green helped the Lady Falcons along in the 4th quarter scoring 12 points. Lackawanna committed 28 turnovers and couldn't pull themselves back into the game after halftime, Harcum won 96-71.
