Lackawanna Women finish their Regular Season with a Win

Scranton, PA – Led by Alexandra Jackson's 14 points and 5 steals, the Lackawanna College women's team ended their 2016-2017 regular season with a 79-43 win over Raritan Valley Community College.

Along with Jackson, Quieterriua Gross also contributed a double digit scoring performance to the team's winning efforts. Gross ended the game with 11 points. Jasimine Williams led the team in rebounds with 16, while Ciani Ballard and Lindsey Dippre led in assists with 4 apiece.

The win leaves them tied with Harcum College in the Region XIX Division II standings. As a result, where Lackawanna and Harcum will be seeded in the upcoming Region XIX DII Tournament will be determined on Monday. The team selected as the 2nd place seed will receive a bye into next weekend's final four while the 3rd place seed will have to play a quarter final game with the winner of that game advancing to the final four. That quarter final game will be played at the home site of either Lackawanna or Harcum. The date and time of that contest will be announced once the tournament seedings are announced.

The Region's semi-finals will be played at County College of Morris, Randolph, New Jersey, on Saturday the 25th and the title game on Sunday the 26th.
