Lackawanna remains in the Race for Top Seed with Win

Newark, DE – Led by double-double performances by Laquana Nagbe and Ariana Sanders the Lackawanna College women's basketball team claimed a 77-38 victory over Delaware Technical Community College. Nagbe was tied for the team high in scoring with 19 while leading the team in rebounds with 15. Sanders contributed 10 points to the winning effort and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Alexandra Jackson tied Nagbe for the lead in team scoring with 19, while Jasmine Williams also scored in double digits, contributing 12 points. Lindsey Dippre and Tearia Hartley jointly led the team in assists with 5 each.

The win improved their Region XIX DII win loss record to 12-2 and keeps them in the race with Essex County College for first place in the conference standing. The Lady Falcons will guarantee themselves a bye into the Region's final four if they beat Union County College this Thursday on the road and Raritan Valley Community College at home next Saturday.
