Lackawanna Guard, Alexandra Jackson, named NJCAA DII National Player of the Week

Scranton PA - Wednesday afternoon the National Junior College Athletic Association named Lackawanna College guard, Alexandra Jackson, its Division II national Player of the Week for week 14 of the 2016-2017 season.

Jackson garnered this honor by leading the Falcons to consecutive wins over Mercer County Community College (69-43), Orange County Community College (91-70) and Harcum College (77-70). During those three games, she averaged 22 points, 3.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 3.7 steals per game.

Coach Whittington had this to say about her sophomore guards accomplishments "I could not be more proud of Alex. She has turned the corner and has begun to realize how talented she truly is on and off the court."

A sophomore, Jackson is a resident of Somerset, New Jersey and a graduate of Franklin High School.
