Lackawanna Claims Victory over Valley Forge

Scranton, PA – Led by Ariana Sander's 16 points, the Lackawanna College women's basketball team claimed a 69-42 win over Valley Forge Military College. The win was the Lady Falcons eighth Region XIX Division II win of the season, which guarantees them a .500 win/loss record in conference and a spot in the Region's Division II Women's Basketball Tournament. Its seeding in that tourney will be determined by their final Region DII win/loss record

Also contributing double digit scoring performances in Tuesday night's victory were Alexandra Jackson, Lindsey Dippre and Tearia Hartley, all with 10 points. The Falcons also had three ladies tied for the high in rebounds with 7; the trio was comprised of Quieterriua Gross, Rona Robinson and Hartley. Jackson was the team's assists leader with 9.

Lackawanna returns to the floor on Thursday night when they host Monroe College at the Student Union. Thursday's contest is a non-conference game and is scheduled for a 5:00 PM start.
