Lady Falcons stay in Contention for First Place

Scranton, PA – Four double digit scoring nights by the Lackawanna College starting five led the womens' basketball team to a 67-45 win over Valley Forge. The win improved the Falcons' Region XIX Division II win/loss record to 12-2 and left them in contention to tie Union County College for first place in the conference; Union has already completed their Region XIX season with a 14-2 record.

The four Falcons having double figure nights were Kayla Henderson with a team high 19 points, Lindsey Dippre with 13 points, Mariah Altomore Ward with 12 and Alexandra Jackson with 11. Henderson shared the team high in rebounds with Ward, both recording 9 boards, and in assists with 5.

Lackawanna plays again this Thursday when they travel to West Windsor, New Jersey to play Mercer County Community College. Game time for that contest is 5:00 PM.
