Lady Falcons to Honor Sophomores

The Lackawanna College Women's Basketball Team will honor its sophomores on Saturday, January 31, 2015 before their Region XIX home contest against Burlington County College. Tip-off for that contest is scheduled for 1:00 PM. The Lady Falcons will celebrate the sophomores who have dedicated themselves to developing a women's basketball program that has a 2014 -2015 win/loss record of 16-1 and are ranked 17th in the most recent NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Poll. The sophomores recognized include Tiffany Then, Melvene Gainey, Colleen Walsh, Megan Tweedy, Siamya Mace and Ranja McClinek

In conjunction to Sophomore Day, both the Lady Falcons and men's basketball team will also be celebrating the Ladies in Pink and Coaches vs. Cancer of Northeast Pennsylvania, where they will attempt to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and the local Coaches vs. Cancer organizations. Fans are asked to honor and show support for all survivors and people affected by cancer by wearing pink or white to the games. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase t-shirts on Thursday or Friday and purchase sweets at in Angeli Hall at Lackawanna College or on game day at Lackawanna College's Student Union. All proceeds from these contests will be donated to the Ladies in Pink and Coaches vs. Cancer of Northeast Pennsylvania. For event information, click on link below
