Scranton, PA: When she received her 2014-2015 Region XIX schedule, head coach, Joya Whittington, circled two early season contests as must win games for her Lackawanna College Women's Basketball team. One was at Harcum last Thursday, where the Falcons claimed a victory. The other was Sunday against Manor College. To her satisfaction, she was able to place that game in the her conference win column, as five Lady Falcons scored in double digits to lead Lackawanna to an 87-73 win over Manor.

The Falcons scoring in double figures were Kwanza Murray with 25 points; Darrian Johnson with 21; Tiffany Then with 13, Siamya Mace with 11 and Kayla Henderson with 10. Murray also recorded 12 rebounds to give her a double-double in points and rebounds. Then led the team in assists with 5 and steals with 4.

The Lady Falcons now have an overall win/loss record of 8-1 and have won four games without a loss in their conference.

Lackawanna plays one more game before a seven day break. On Tuesday they travel to West Windsor, New Jersey, to play Mercer County Community College. Start time for that contest is 5:00 PM.
