Lady Falcons Win Both Games in Double-Header Vs Anne Arundel CC

(Arnold, Maryland) – The Lady Falcons took to the road Sunday afternoon to play a double-header against Anne Arundel Community College. Lackawanna won both games, 9-5 and 16-2. The Lady Falcons have won 8 of their last 9 games, improving their record to 13-6.

Game 1 saw the Lady Falcons drive in 2 runs early. Courtney Hoffman stole home to put Lackawanna on the board in the top of the first. On the very next pitch, Marlena Pegula hit a double to right field to score Alexandria Thoman. Anne Arundel CC put up a run in the bottom of the 1st and then another in the bottom of the 2nd to tie the game 2-2. Lackawanna found strong at bats in the 5th and 6th innings, scoring 6 runs. Alexandria Thoman hit a single to center to drive in 2 runs in the 5th. Courtney Hoffman singled to left field for an RBI in the 6th. Lady Falcons won 9-5.
